Anthropic has announced Claude Duet, an AI agent for professionals and small business owners. The Verge reports that it is launching as a research preview and is available as a standalone app on iOS and Android as well as through Claude. 9to5Google describes Duet as a proactive agent and says access is offered through a waitlist. Both outlets present it as Anthropic's answer to two consumer and small-business agents already on the market, Meta's Muse and OpenAI's Dots. The launch moves Anthropic, known mainly for its chat assistant and developer tools, further into agents that act on users' behalf across their daily work. Calling it a research preview signals that the product is still being tested and could change before a wider release. Competition in this market is picking up. On the same day, Meta said Muse had more than 10 million users. The supplied reports do not include pricing or a list of the agent's capabilities.
