Anthropic folds Claude chat, Cowork, Artifacts and Design into one interface and tests a bank-linking 'Claude Money' tab

Anthropic is merging the Claude chat front end and its agentic Cowork product into a single interface, effective Wednesday. Chat, Cowork and Artifacts now sit in one window, and Claude routes each request to the right capability so users no longer have to pick a tab. Claude Design, introduced in April for website and prototype design, now works inside any conversation instead of as a standalone product. The company said customers often struggled to choose the right tab for a task. Two beta products arrive alongside the merge. Claude Slides can create, edit and present presentations and export them as PDF or PowerPoint. Claude Docs lets users draft sections with the assistant, ask questions and comment on finished parts. Both can be shared by link, edited on a phone, or started on desktop and monitored from the mobile app. The features are rolling out to Pro and Max plans. Fortune frames the move as part of an industry push toward an AI 'everything app' that holds the thread of a task and picks tools itself, which also deepens the direct relationship with users and helps court enterprises centralizing employee AI use. OpenAI plans a similar consolidation of ChatGPT, its Codex coding agent and potentially its Atlas browser. Separately, TestingCatalog spotted a 'Claude Money' section in the iOS app alongside Chats, Code, Artifacts, Dispatch and Cowork, inviting users to link bank accounts and ask about spending and plans. It is not rolling out to most users, and supported banks, connection method and regional availability are unknown. OpenAI already offers a comparable Finances feature in ChatGPT through Plaid.
